This notice explains how your personal data are processed when you visit the website www.drvolkanaktemur.com, when you fill in the appointment form on the website, and when you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email through the links on the website. It has been prepared in accordance with Article 10 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to Be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform (Aydınlatma Yükümlülüğünün Yerine Getirilmesinde Uyulacak Usul ve Esaslar Hakkında Tebliğ).
Your patient records from the examination and treatment process are not covered by this notice; you are informed about them separately at the clinic. Cookies and similar technologies are described in detail in the Cookie Policy.
1. Data controller

2. How personal data are collected
- Appointment form: You fill in the form yourself. The information is recorded in the website's database electronically, by automated means. The form automatically adds the type of page it is on and, if you came to the website through a campaign link, the tags of that link.
- Phone, WhatsApp and email: The information you send us is obtained verbally or in writing.
- Website visit: The website's server automatically records technical information for each page that is opened.
- Cookies and browser storage: Collected by automated means; the details are in the Cookie Policy.

The name, phone number and email you write on the form, and the topic you select, are not sent to measurement and advertising tools. No promotional, campaign or newsletter messages are sent to you. Your personal data are processed only for the purposes stated in this notice.
4. Your health data
- The form does not ask about your symptoms or your medical history; the form has no free-text field.
- Selecting a topic is optional. The topic field is set to "Prefer not to say" by default; you can also send a request without selecting a topic.
- The name of the treatment you select may reveal information about your health or your sex life. The KVKK treats this information as special category personal data and subjects it to stricter rules.
- The topic you select is kept only in the submission record in the website's administration panel and in backups; it is not written in emails and is not sent to measurement and advertising tools.
- A physician may not disclose secrets learned in the course of practicing the profession, except where the law requires it (Art. 4 of the Regulation on Medical Deontology (Tıbbi Deontoloji Nizamnamesi); Art. 23 of the Regulation on Patient Rights (Hasta Hakları Yönetmeliği)).
- Please do not write health information on the form or in emails. On WhatsApp, share only as much as is needed for the appointment; the details are discussed at the examination.
5. Transfer of personal data
Your personal data are transferred to the recipient groups below only for the purposes in section 3 and only to the extent necessary (KVKK Art. 8 and Art. 9).

Transfers abroad are made under KVKK Art. 9 by signing with the service providers the standard contracts announced by the Personal Data Protection Board and by notifying the Personal Data Protection Authority. Using WhatsApp and Google Maps is your choice; on these services your data are also processed under the respective company's own privacy rules.
6. Retention and deletion
- Submission records are permanently deleted 2 years after the date of the request by an automated task that runs every day.
- Records deleted from the administration panel stay in the trash for 30 days and are then permanently deleted.
- Deleted records remain in backups for at most 8 more weeks; old backups are deleted automatically.
- Email and WhatsApp correspondence is kept for at most 2 years.
- Server logs are deleted after 30 days.
- Personal data whose retention period has expired are deleted or destroyed in accordance with the Regulation on the Deletion, Destruction or Anonymization of Personal Data (Kişisel Verilerin Silinmesi, Yok Edilmesi veya Anonim Hale Getirilmesi Hakkında Yönetmelik).
7. Protection of data
- The website opens only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- Submissions are kept in the website's administration panel, which is closed to the public, and can be seen only by authorized persons.
- The topic you select is not written in emails; your form information is not sent to measurement and advertising tools.
- Contracts containing confidentiality and data security obligations are made with service providers.
- If your personal data are obtained by others unlawfully, you and the Personal Data Protection Board are notified as soon as possible (KVKK Art. 12(5)).
8. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, by applying to the data controller, you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data are processed,
- request information about it if your personal data have been processed,
- learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
- know the third parties, domestically or abroad, to whom your personal data are transferred,
- request the correction of your personal data if they have been processed incompletely or inaccurately,
- request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions set out in KVKK Art. 7,
- request that the correction, deletion and destruction operations be notified to the third parties to whom your personal data have been transferred,
- object to a result to your detriment arising from the analysis of the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
- claim compensation for the damage if you suffer damage because your personal data have been processed unlawfully.
9. How to apply
Your application must be made in Turkish and in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller (Veri Sorumlusuna Başvuru Usul ve Esasları Hakkında Tebliğ). You can apply in one of the following ways:
- by delivering your written application bearing your wet signature by hand to Barbaros Mah. Ahlat Sok. No: 1, Varyap Meridian D Blok, Kat: 3, No: 30, 34634 Ataşehir/İstanbul, or by sending it there by postal mail or through a notary,
- by sending your application signed with a secure electronic signature or a mobile signature to info@drvolkanaktemur.com,
- by writing to info@drvolkanaktemur.com from the email address that you have previously given us and that is in our records.
Your application must include your name and surname, your signature for a written application, your Turkish identity number (T.C. kimlik numarası) (if you are a foreign national, your nationality and passport number), your place of residence or workplace address for notification purposes, your email address, phone number and fax number if any, and the subject of your request. You can use the KVKK Application Form on the website.
Your application is concluded within 30 days at the latest and, as a rule, free of charge. If the process requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
If your application is rejected, if you find the response insufficient, or if no response is given in time, you may file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board within 30 days from the date you learn of the response, and in any case within 60 days from the date of application (KVKK Art. 14).
10. If you fill in the form on behalf of someone else
If you are filling in the form on behalf of a relative, inform them of this notice before giving their information, and do not select a topic. For requests sent on behalf of someone else, the person concerned is informed about their personal data at the first conversation with them.
11. Changes
This notice is updated as the way personal data are processed changes. The current notice is published on this page. In case of any discrepancy between this English translation and the Turkish text, the Turkish text prevails.
